DAY 30 | Spent the afternoon making a Cambodian dessert called Baing Chanout. Apparently there are heaps of different spellings but basically it is a glutinous rice ball boiled, filled with a mung bean filling and served with a coconut syrup and sesame seeds. It's my favourite dessert (and food!) from my Khmer heritage. I've been feeling bad lately about not cooking enough as it is my new years resolution so I guess today is a start. I am a bit more of a sweet tooth so maybe thats why I'm good at making desserts and not so much the other stuff? Hmmm. xxx
