PROJECT 365 | DAY 27: THE STABLES OF COMO

DAY 27 | Literally stepped back in time while visiting Como House and Gardens, situated in South Yarra, Melbourne. Listed as one of Melbourne's wealthiest heritage properties and now at 160 years old, Como gave you a glimpse of the aristocratic times. My friend Emma and I were totally mind blown thinking back in the day, ladies were wearing Victorian-style dresses with corsets, hoop skirts, bonnets in the hair and carrying parasols for an accessory. It was a sudden realisation that we were in fact walking in the foot steps of fashion history. Thanks to our fashion history classes, I don't think we would have known better.

Before strolling the gardens though, we had brunch at The Stables of Como which literally use to be horse stables but now is a cafe! Enjoy the photo diary xxx

Showed mum this shabby chic decor. Still doesn't fully understand the rustic idea of it yet she wants me to decorate the backyard like this!

So here are multiple shots of the food! I had the toasted banana bread with maple syrup, mascarpone, fresh banana, berry compote & crushed pistachio while Emma had the smashed avocado with thyme buttered mushrooms, marinated feta & torn basil on wholegrain toast. Plus we had fruit salad to share and ice coffees! Yum!

Catch up with my uni friend Emma today.

Mandatory communal sweets table shot!
